Deposit insurance

Insurance protection applies for the deposit total agreed in the rental contract up to a maximum of €1,500 for damage incurred during the rental period. The deposit total is €1,500 with an insurance excess of €200.

Cancellation costs insurance

The insurance covers the cancellation costs contractually owed by the policyholder to the Rental Company if the trip is not commenced for the following reasons: death, severe injury, sudden severe illness of the insured person, his/her spouse and relations, immunisation intolerance, pregnancy of an insured person; significant damage to the property of the insured persons caused by: fire, deliberate criminal actions by a third party, force majeure as well as unforeseeable unemployment. The insurance excess is 20% but a minimum of €75.

If the journey is terminated for the reasons mentioned above, the additional resulting return travel costs are insured.
To qualify for cancellation cover, insurance must be arranged no later than 30 days prior to the planned date of departure. For bookings made within 30 days prior to the planned departure date, insurance can only be arranged on the same day that the rental contract is concluded or no later than the next three working days.

Contents insurance

Personal luggage, household accessories as well as loose items that are not permanently installed are insured up to a total insured sum of EUR 8,000. A maximum indemnity limit of EUR 2,500 applies for radios, TVs, photographic and film/video cameras. In addition, insurance protection is provided for computers, mobile phones, radio, fax and telephony devices, bicycles and other sport equipment up to a maximum indemnity limit of EUR 3,000.

Loss of rental fees insurance

Insurance cover is provided for liability claims by the Rental Company against the Renter due to loss of rental fees as a result of damage caused by the insured person up to a maximum of EUR 10,000 if subsequent rental is not possible as a result. Personal liability insurance does not cover rented items.
