Deposit insurance

Insurance cover is provided for the deposit amount agreed in the rental contract, up to a maximum of € 2,000, depending on the variant, for damage occurring during the rental period. Also for damage caused by dogs, if these are included in the rental agreement.

Contents insurance

The insurance covers personal luggage, household accessories and loose, non‐fixed items up to a total sum insured of € 8,000. For radio, TV, photo and film/video cameras, the maximum compensation limit of € 2,500 applies. In addition, insurance cover applies to computers, mobile phones, radio, fax and telephone equipment, bicycles and other sports equipment up to a maximum compensation limit of € 3,000.

Loss of rental fees insurance

The insurance covers the landlord’s liability claims against the tenant for loss of rent due to damage caused by the insured person up to a maximum amount of € 10,000 if this means that no subsequent letting is possible. Private liability insurance is not liable for rented property.

Cancellation costs insurance

The insurance covers the cancellation costs contractually owed by the policyholder to the landlord if the trip is not commenced for the following reasons: Death, serious accident, unexpected serious illness of the insured person, their partner and their dependants, immunisation intolerance, pregnancy of an insured person; significant damage to the property of the insured persons as a result of: Fire, wilful criminal act of a third party, force majeure and unforeseeable unemployment.

If the motorhome/caravan rented in accordance with the rental contract is not handed over to the policyholder for use in accordance with the contract due to the insolvency of the lessor, the insurer shall reimburse the policyholder for any advance payments already made, unless the policyholder is able to recover these from the lessor.

• The excess is 20%, but at least €75.
• The total compensation amounts to a maximum of € 5,000.

The prerequisite for obtaining cancellation cover and protection against insolvency is the conclusion of the insurance policy no later than 30 days before the scheduled start of the trip. If the booking is made within 30 days before the start of the trip, the contract can only be concluded on the day the rental contract is concluded, at the latest within the next three working days.
